The Senior Class Trip 2017 took our soon-to-be-graduates on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico on Carnival's Fantasy. Leaving from Mobile, Alabama, the students enjoyed a four day excursion full of memorable experiences that will certainly last a lifetime. The learning experiences encountered were as different as the students who travelled. Some have never flown before, some have never navigated a cruise pier before, some have never had fine dining or first-rate entertainment experiences, and some have never experienced differing cultures in other countries first-hand.
While in Mexico, our seniors had the opportunity to come in contact with Mexican culture on their trip into San Miguel. They also had some time to take in the beautiful views and warm water at Paradise Beach before returning for some shopping at the pier of Puerta Maya. Some even augmented their Cozumel experience with additional excursions including scuba diving and parasailing.
Overall, it was a trip that allowed our students to experience life outside Seneca County. Many of our students have never had that opportunity to travel so far from home, so this year's senior trip give them a little insight into what it's like in a very different place, and it gave them a glimpse through the lens of a more global perspective.
