On Friday, September 11, the middle school and elementary had a PBIS Kick-Off Assembly. There was a balloon relay, Tiger toss, and charades. Also, the coloring contest and poster contest winners were announced.
The Pep Club is selling pink out shirts. The theme for the last home game against Ridgedale is pink out to support Breast Cancer Awareness. The game is October 30th. Half of the proceeds from the shirt sale are going to be donated to the Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment (FACT) of Seneca County.
Students learned bus safety this week through bus evacuation drills and by reviewing PBIS bus behavior. Thank you Seneca East bus drivers and teachers for keeping our precious cargo safe!
Parents visited SE during elementary, middle school, and high school open houses. Teachers welcomed students with muffins and donuts on the first day of school. Welcome back everyone!
In a recent article in Newsweek titled, "Beating the Odds 2015: Top High Schools for Low-Income Students," Seneca East ranked 105th nationally and 6th in Ohio. Newsweek's research sought to "identify schools that do an excellent job of preparing their students for college while also overcoming the obstacles posed by students at an economic disadvantage." Congratulations, Seneca East!
