Ohioans who suspect child abuse or neglect now only need to remember one phone number. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) has launched 855-O-H-CHILD (855-642-4453) an automated telephone directory that will link callers directly to a child welfare or law enforcement office in their county. Reports can be anonymous.
There is also a short You Tube video on the directory.

Seneca East Middle/High School was recently awarded a $2,500.00 grant from the Peoples' Fund, a grant-issuing arm of the North Central Electric Cooperative. The $2,500.00 will be used to purchase Audience Response Systems, or clickers, to be used in the middle school and high school classrooms. Clickers are a technological way of ensuring the immediate understanding of topics by all students in the classroom simultaneously as teachers progress through lessons. With the ARS, instructors will also be able to more accurately tailor lessons to the students' understanding. A huge "thank you" goes out to the North Central Electric Cooperative and the Peoples' Fund Board for selecting Seneca East as one of the recipients of their grants.
A big THANK YOU goes out to all the parents, students, and teachers for their help with the Pack The Pickup Event that was held over the last few weeks. night, at the football game, we were able to pack that pickup with over 550 donated food items! That was awesome! A special thank you goes out to Mr. Speziale and Mr. Branham for their help with setting up, and to those middle school students that helped get the collected items over to the pickup before the game! The winning, elementary classroom for the Pack-The Pickup event was Mr. Bumb's class with a whopping 91 items! The winning class for the middle and high schools was Mrs.Reichert's class with 62 items! Thank you again for everyone's support of this needy cause. The Attica Food Pantry workers were very impressed with the amount of food donated and said that they would be able to help many needy families! I will contact the winning teachers in order to find out a convenient day to receive your prize "party". Great Job everyone!
