  • Pack the Pickup was a huge success once again this year thanks to all of you that donated.  You all really did a nice job of supporting our local food pantries!   In total, Seneca East Local Schools collected  1,723 donations!! Wow!  With that amount of food, we have definitely helped the 50 plus families that our local food pantries serve.  Thank you again to all the students, teachers, parents etc. that made this year's food drive a huge success! 
    Here are the final results along with the sheet showing ALL final totals for all grades: 
    1st Place-  Mrs. Chaffee's class  (218)  
    2nd Place- Mrs. Caudill's class  (124) 
    3rd Place- Mr. Bumb's class  (84) 
    Middle/High School: 
    1st Place-  Seventh Grade (149) 
    2nd Place- 8th Grade (132) 
    3rd Place- 6th Grade (131) 
    ***Winners will receive a popcorn and pajama party.  Date will be announced soon.  :) 
  • Congratulations to last week's Teen Read Week winners:  Cailyn Bowler, Nora Darkow, Arika Stockmaster, Elijana Steinmetz, Alexis Kelbley, and Kollin Frankart.  Stop in the library to pick up your prizes!
  • Congratulations to the cross country team on their efforts Saturday at the N-10 meet. The high school girls won their second N-10 Championship in four years edging out Upper Sandusky for the team championship, while Kennedy Beard finished as the individual N-10 Runner-up.  The junior high boys also finished as champions with Isaac Mason claiming the individual title as well!  The high school boys and the junior high girls both finished third in their respective races.  Good luck to the high school teams as they compete at districts this weekend, and the Jr. High as they compete in the Middle School State Championships.  
  • The Jr High Student Council is going to collect supplies to send to the Carolinas to assist the families that were affected by Hurricane Florence. The United Way made this appeal Friday and gave us a small window to operate with. The collection begins today and concludes next Thursday, October 18. We will have boxes in the extended learning area this week for donations of diapers and cleaning supplies. If any food items are donated this week we will put those in the "Pack the Pickup," our emphasis will be on cleaning products. Your support is greatly appreciated.    
  • Yearbook will be having a donut sale on Wednesday Oct 17th. If you would like to avoid the lines and make sure you get the donut you want, please see Mrs. Baker with your order and money to reserve your donuts by Tuesday.   
  • The FCCLA cookie sale start today and will end on Tuesday the 16th and the cookie choices are M&M, choc chip, and Reese’s. The pricing is $2.50 each or 2 cookies for $4.   
  • October is bully prevention awareness month.   Please take some time each day to view the short videos shared with you in your email announcements.  Awareness, frequent discussion, empathy for others, and taking a stand can help bring about change and a culture of kindness!! Tuesday's Video: You are Braver, Smarter, and Stronger than You Think
  • Heidelberg University will be hosting a basketball clinic for all boys grades 6-8 November 10th.  If you want more information there are flyers in the office.    
  • This is a friendly reminder to all ladies.  In your handbook page 64, rule #7 ALL ATTIRE MUST BE AT LEAST KNEE LENGTH OR LONGER AS A GENERAL RULE.
