K-8 Guidance Counselor's Corner
The Seneca East K-8 counseling program is committed to promoting the academic success, personal development, and responsible citizenship of all students.
The mission of the Seneca East K-8 counseling program is to enable all students to experience educational success by providing guidance in areas of academic, career, and social/emotional development. The K-8 counseling program seeks to help students overcome challenges that interfere with learning and promotes high achievement for all students. Through the school counseling program, students learn how to create and achieve academic, personal, and career goals.
The changing and challenging nature of today’s society creates a need for students to have varying types of resources at their disposal. Advancing technology, the world of work, and uncertain events in a child’s life compels the school counselor to play an integral role in preparing all students to achieve their full potential.
As the K-8 school counselor I try to make myself visible and available for all of my students. I am here to answer questions and provide help for our studentʼs academic, personal/social, and career goal needs. A student may talk to me any time, but needs to seek permission from the adult in charge first.
A student may also be referred for help by their teacher, or by you the parent. If you have a concern please feel free to contact me and I will gladly help in any way I can.
